The Road to El Dorado

In 1519 Spain, two con-artists Miguel and Tulio are found out when the win a bet with rigged dice, in the process of escaping they jump aboard a ship with the map they won, which supposedly leads to the legendary City of Gold, El Dorado. While imprisoned by a conquistador at sea, the boys break loose and jump ship, only to wind up on a seemingly deserted island, when in fact it hold the location to El Dorado. Miguel, Tulio and their horse Altivo, adventure through the jungle until they discover the lost city, and on arrival they are believed to be gods by the locals. Miguel and Tulio go along with the facade in an attempt to flee with a ship full of gold, however Miguel finds himself drawn to staying in the city, while Tulio has found a local, Chel, whom he wants to return to Spain with. When their facade is discovered by the high priest however, everything changes.
