Chicago weather man David Spritz is struggling to understand where his life is going and how he ended up divorced and working in a job he doesn’t really care about. Spending quality time with his two children Mike and Shelly is also difficult as he cannot relate very well to them or understand how they are feeling, his ex Noreen is also making life difficult. David’s quiet father Robert finds out he is dying and only has months to live, while David is approached by Good morning America for the weather man job which would mean a move to New York. David must finally accept his past and try to make the most of his future if he gets the job and work on his relationship with his kids over weekends.
