A three-part anthology set in Japan’s capitol, Tokyo. ‘Interior Design’ tells the story of a young couple who move into a friends tiny apartment in Tokyo while looking for work and a place to live, though their ideals and passions pull them in separate directions. ‘Merde’ visualizes a monster-like man who ascends from the sewers and wreaks havoc on citizens, causing chaos and destruction with no real understanding. Merde is trialed and sentenced to hang for his crimes. Finally ‘Shaking Tokyo’ is the story of a Hikkomori (a shut-in hermit) who hasn’t been outside or had human contact in over 10 years. When an earthquake brings him and a pizza delivery girl together, it gives him the courage to venture outside and face his fears in search of the mystery girl.
