The true story of the legendary country music icon Johnny Cash and his rise to fame. As a child Johnny was known as J.R, he loved music but grew up under a tough roof with an aggressive father. After a few years Johnny leaves his hometown Arkansas to join the air force in Germany where he buys his first guitar and begins writing music. Johnny marries Vivian and settles in Tennessee with a daughter, he became a salesman buthispassion still lied with music so hestarted a bandand auditioned at the local recording studio and was immediately accepted. Overthe following months Johnny’s fame grew though the bandsfirst record and theygot a gig on tour with the already famous June Carter. Over the months and years the bandstours keeps coming and Johnny starts falling in love with June while his home life isn’t going so well. June doesn’t like the person Johnny has become, being dependant on drugs and alcohol has changed him but Johnny wont accept no for an answer, over the years they grow apart but eventually they returns for more tours and maybe this time it will work between them.
