Description:

A Studio Ghibli Animation, Shizuku is a young school girl with no real dreams or aspirations but she becomes interested in a boy named Seiji Amasawa as she realises he has previously checked out all the library books she choose. Seiji is an apprentice violin maker who is looking at a bright future where he may have to move to Italy to work under the best there is, while Shizuku is worried her new friend may leave her behind when she is beginning to fall in love with him. Along her journey Shizuku discovers her talent for writing stories and realises it could be her way of keeping up with Seiji.
